"The Village" as in the 60's Television series "The Prisoner", was filmed on location in the Italianate Village of Portmeirion on the sea-coast in North Wales. Architect, Landscape Designer and early Environmentalist, Clough Williams-Ellis, began his artistic creation on this private peninsula in 1925, seeking to show that the development of a naturally beautiful site, need not lead to its defilement. He succeeded in not interrupting the strange and timeless beauty, that has been an inspiration to many Musicians, Writers, Film Makers, Artists and Architects. �Cherish the Past, Adorn the Present, Construct for the Future.� He fought for beauty, �that strange necessity.m
We like to think of The Village, here on Soulful Planet, as being inspired by and accessed here. Having left behind all matters of past experience, in which our individuality has been discounted, we have returned with gathered wisdom and a restored vitality. The inspiration and tone of our Village, is one of taking personal responsibility for how we interact with each-other, not because it is mandated, but because we are empowered to do so. Pictured below, are the orchestra and bandstand areas. The main porthole to our Village is accessed through Music. Any questions or comments that you have are well-come. S.P.A.T.

We speak with each-other through the written word here, as well as through the universal language of Music and The Arts. This is truly a place of great freedom of expression. 	Ed Parker Jr. is the multitalented artist, who is responsible for painting the wonderful art here at Soulful Planet, our Village, our train, and some other cool things to come. Our Music Village, as you know, is named "dAbIdA". Ed is busy "chiseling" the Village name. You'll see it soon. We will be formally introducing Ed to everyone here shortly. Mixey

	The Village huh I am not a number, I am a free man. They dont make shows like that anymore Yeah I like this place alot and everyone here seems so cool(maybe I can someday meet yall in person), hopefully this place will be here for a long time to come.

	More "Prisoner" info. I'm sure a "number" of you might be thinking I'm just a tad whacked in the head for liking "The Prisoner" series, enough to incorporate a little of it here. It's not the series, or Portmerion the place, that I'm attached to... quite the opposite, in fact. The fans of the series and the place, is exactly what I feel a strong need to get away from... ESCAPE! I don't enjoy participating in fan based groups of any sort. I don't like villages that are beautiful and looking free and easy, but in reality are controlled and stuffy. It's amazing how the series garnered such a huge following that it has almost reached cult status. Yet within cults, there are little sick control freaks, who do exactly the opposite of what they're supposedly attracted to. So how does that relate to a music forum... with a membership... and talking about favorite artists and performances? Are we in fact a fan based group? We would be, IMO... if we started laying down a bunch of rules... if we said we can only talk about music... or a particular genre of music, etc. We have commonalities here; but they are not a requirement. Is no Zip Ban Delete a rule? Maybe it is. I look at it as just consideration of people and what they have to say. Plus, it's a rule I place on myself, not anyone else. Anyway... just thoughts. I looked at these youtubes about The Prisoner and it got me thinking. It's interesting that they say in the last one that the show "Twin Peaks" was inspired by "The Prisoner". I've only seen the clip with Jimmy Scott; and already I knew I liked it. I had no clue. Mixey

	This is an interesting interview with Patrick McGoohan, talking about the making of the series... I'm posting them as I'm viewing them for the first time. Pretty cool. I haven't ever heard him interviewed before. The students in the audience are taking a course on the show... LoooooL!!! Oh my God... He's talking about it as a cult. LooooooL Mixey
