Connecting without borders is a beautiful thing. Many folks still don't understand what this form of speech really means and why it is so powerful. Controllers understand, and are trying to ruin it now. It feels bad to see it in it's infancy, and note just how little time it has taken to scheme up other ways to wreck it, especially in the area of communication through our music.

some reality... Commercializing online videos and music videos Emerging Science and Technology, Entrepreneurship and Business November 25th, 2008 by Tim @ MaRS which says: "The Internet will transform the video medium as well the choice of content and advertising will be under consumer control. Product placement will become an opportunity for viewers to click on items of interest to learn more about them including but not limited to commercial information. Hyperlinks will associate the racing scene in Star Wars I with the chariot race in Ben Hur. - Vint Cerf, Google Chief Internet Evangelist, September 2008" and............ ".........three billion videos were streamed on YouTube in January 2008. YouTube hasnt released the cost of streaming these videos, but in Googles 2007 Annual Report, they admit that they have yet to realize significant revenue benefits from our acquisitions of dMarc Broadcasting (Audio Ads), YouTube or Postini. They also admit to having copyright claims filed against them alleging that features of YouTube infringe another partys rights. "Many companies have tried or are trying to commercialize videos online. The fallout point is not a shortage of investment. B I R T H D A Y T o T H E I N T E R N E T 2009 Internet Turns 40 Today: First Message Crashed System Ker Than for National Geographic News October 29, 2009 " -Everyone surfing for last-minute Halloween costumes and pictures of black Lolcats todaywhat you might call the 40th anniversary of the Internetcan give thanks to the simple network message that started it all: "lo" On October 29, 1969, that message became the first ever to travel between two computers connected via the ARPANET, the computer network that would become the Internet.... " The truncated transmission traveled about 400 miles (643 kilometers) between the University of California, Los Angeles, and the Stanford Research Institute.(Watch video about the birth of the Internet.) "The electronic dispatch was supposed to be the word "login," but only the first two letters were successfully sent before the system crashed. Still, that humble greeting marked the start of a phenomenon that has become such an important part of modern life that many experts argue access to it should be a right rather than a privilege. In fact, earlier this month Finland became the first country in the world to declare broadband Internet access a legal right for all of its 5.2 million citizens.... ..." ![]() National Geographic article continues (here) & For VIDEO Click HERE!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

2012 Update
Yes, Mixey... and here we are... now in 2012, and the Internet hasn't totally self destructed... yet... since that first "lo" that crashed the system, trying to complete the word "login"... 43 years ago. And we are still trying to keep the system from being crashed by... the 'system' ... only now, it's a a fight to stop stuff like big lobby money hijacking legislative bills and deceptive stuff like... SOPA & PIPA... four letter words,,, Interesting... maybe we all need to go back to "lo" and just pause, and look at it all for a while... before the big lobby money zars take it all over... and won't let us look at it... at all, any and all of it... all of what we've all created in 43 years of typing away... crafting, ... the good... bad... ugly...and the incredibly, human beautiful craziness of it all, ...without first getting "their permission" from the gatekeepers, to "login" with a special visa usually reserved for the priveliged few... to see how it all... used to be. I hope not... ever. We already now have "TV"... one vast "wasteland of useless knowledge" as I believe Marshall Mcluhan once called it. Yes, Piracy sucks,,, go get the bad guys in a major way, government... but... leave the freedom of the Internet, as we know it, alone. ~Geno Gene_Leone_Mix 01/19/2012 |

Hi Geno,
At first I thought “Lo” was the first 2 letters of the word “Love”. How cool would that have been to send Love between 2 computers! 😘
And of course it too would have failed at first... but they were trying to type in the word “Login”, I just read. And instead it turned biblical. In 1967, the word “Why” is the word that Patrick Mcgoohan sent to a computer to blow it, up in an episode of “The Prisoner”. The computer’s name was “The General”. Mixey
