And Most of all... Have Fun!

Here is a prime example of why this is very cool.
... Try finding the following thread on FB... without this hot link...

And here's a Brand New "Philly" release just out from

Lou deLise and Philly Nouveau...

— When Did You Stop" (Lovin' Me) by Philly Nouveau —

Video montage of recording session for "When Did You Stop" by Philadelphia soul group, Philly Nouveau and record producer, Louis deLise. Released December 2011 on Philly Nouveau Records. Information at: - www.phillynouveau.com -

Philly!!!

Go Lou & Philly Nouveau!
(Nice ReMix, Mike!)
~BigSmiles. Geno

p.s: Lou writes... "I originally wrote and produced in 1976 for a group from Chester called the Js. The Js record was re-released last year in the UK, so I thought I'd do a new version with my studio band, Philly Nouveau. This is what I came up with! I recorded this at my studio playing everything except guitar (Allan Slutsky) and trumpet (Ken Brader). Maestro Michael Tarsia did the re-mix. Enjoy!"

— Nuyorican Soul - Runaway - M.A.W. feat La India, etc! —

Hi Everybody!

Since 1997, I often get asked about my session engineering work on the Nuyorican Soul Album alot from DJ’s, House Heads & Club Music Lovers all over the world, so I thought I’d post some info here in a thread at SoulfulPlanet.

Yes, it was an incredible pleasure and honor Recording & Engineering Strings & Orchestra tracks and Overdubs on this tune and others on
the Nuyorican Soul album, and also The Braxton’s album, in sessions with Masters At Work - MAW, (Little Louie Vega & Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez) in Philly at Victory Studios, with friends Vincent Montana, Jr. Arranging/Conducting & playing Vibes, with Ronnie James on Guitar,
and the late great Larry Washington on Congas.

In fact, sadly this was the last session of zillions over the many years that I recorded with Larry Washington on Congas right before he passed away. (I miss Larry, big time!)

I engineered these sessions along with Jeff Chestek in Philly at Victory Studios, and Art Stoppe recorded other tracks at Sigma as well, while Steve Barkan, Dave Darlington & Phil Pagano etc., engineered, mixed and compiled in NY at MAW Studios with Louie & Kenny.

From a personal perspective, the full blown String dates and overdub sessions on these albums that went through my hands were Classic Sessions that I will never, ever forget...

Great string charts from Vince (Vincent Montana, Jr) with live Philly Strings kicking it in the studio, (not to mention his Vibe solos, Larry's Conga parts, Ronnie's Guitar work, etc)... all with a packed control room of great, talented people witnessing it all. it was a groove!

This album was a GREAT NEW YORK/PHILLY Collaboration... look at the total credits listed below. and see what I mean!
... and oh yes, La India can SING!

~MuchLoveToAll~
