Never heard of Joanne Campbell.

It was the 45 by "The Teen Queens" that was the major hit.

They talk obscure stuff on that site because they are such doo wop fanatics only.

True that, but it was Gene Pitt who told me about Joanne Campbell.  I'd never heard of her either.LOL  He said she was the blonde bombshell and really something when she came on stage.

I googled her and looked her up on youtube after that.LOL

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! I hear you, dream!!!

"The Teen Queens" released the "original" in March of 1956, the song was written by one of the member's brother.

I checked her out her version was in 1961, she was the girlfriend of Bobby Darin.  She looked a little familiar, evedentally was on a few t.v. variety shows and Bandstand. Smile
