Unhappy   Jazz Great Freddie Hubbard passes.

A friend I worked with from 1984-1990 turned me onto
Freddie. A great player for our age. I'm very sad to hear this news.

I had the honor to work with freddie for about 3 months in the late 80s.

He also joined my group for a concert in the 90s in steamboat springs colorado.

He was a phenomenal trumpet player.

Sometimes i would just stop playing and listen to him sculpt some of the best bebop lines ever played  in jazz with an energy  sound and intention that only he could do.

We will all miss him in the jazz community and i know he will continue on his path.
