OH I like this thread Geno!!!!   COOL!!!!
Energy from saltwater.  Makes sense!! Sounds like a good way to cure cancer by destroying the cancer cells, however the technology "radio waves" may also accelerate the growth of normal cells, which may turn them into cancerous cell, somewhat like a magnetic field.

I hope they look into this too.  There are other diseases associated with exposure to microwaves, etc.  It seems to me that diseases like Pagets may be related to radio wave exposure.

Sometimes one chooses between the lesser of 2 evils though, so very interesting find.

Water as fuel sounds even better... HHO... "heavy water"...
A company from Clearwater... lol.

He blinded me with science... lol  Love that song. LOL

Corn starch in water... vibrate the hell out of it to create Farrady waves, puff of air in the middle and it does weird things....

Oooookay... and that's good for ?????

(Yes, as of this writing, all my clocks are still on the wrong time *lol* ... I'll get to it! The smoke detectors are taken care of.)

Optical Illusions

Theo sent me this email link...

Is she really spinning... Left... or Right?

DelicateGeniusblog.com

Left brain/right brain optical illusion.
In Your peripheral vision... is the dancer moving
Clockwise or Anti-clockwise?
When looking off to the side,
can You
make her change direction at will?

Very cool!

Lindz!

I know... it's also very hypnotic.

I am actually able to make her change direction at will after watching it for a while,
while not looking directly at it... even on the "little" gif in the post above and here... and when You "blink"... the direction changes... try it!

Focus on the spinning girl... then let your focus relax and look to the right side of Your monitor screen... after a few seconds, pan back to the spinning girl in the center... when You blink & move your head slightly next... her direction changes!

Donna! (((manifoldgrace)))

This gorilla video thing is awesome!!!!!!!
*LOL*

Too funny and truly amazing!
It's really making me think about what we focus on, and at the same time, how we can totally miss a huge part of the picture because of that "focus".
This sooooo applies to everyday life, no doubt.

Thanks for pointing us to this... really cool!

~Smiles~

Got Graphene?
(((... eventually, You will...)))

Nobel-Worthy Graphene Work Promises Smaller, Greener Chips -

By Richard Adhikari
TechNewsWorld
10/05/10 11:36 AM PT

"... "groundbreaking experiments" on graphene" ...

"... "You can, in theory, extend graphene beyond the boundaries set by the limitations of silicon, and thus make devices smaller," Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group, told TechNewsWorld."

"..."This could create vastly more complex microcomputers with huge implications for markets ranging from embedded medical equipment such as heart monitors to defense, where you may have intelligent bullets," Enderle added."

"...Graphene's strength, transparency and conductivity could let us "create near-impenetrable windshields with heads-up displays, next-generation military body armor with built-in health monitoring, TVs that seem to float on the wall or double as windows, letting you electronically change your view from real to artificial, and to architectural designs where the building itself may become a billboard," Enderle opined."

"...Graphene semiconductors would be more environmentally friendly than silicon ones, the Yankee Group's Howe pointed out. "We dope silicon with lots of toxic metals to make it into the P or N versions of a semiconductor," Howe said. "Graphene, on the other hand, gets doped with water or ammonia, which are a lot less toxic. ... ..."

Ok... When it comes to stuff like...

~ Cool Freekin' Science! ~

This is one Awesome Event,
that clearly takes the Cake!

Big UPS to
The Whole NASA, JPL & International Crews
Across the Globe
for pulling off the nearly imposible...

f l a w l e s s l y !!!

This article
from
The Telegraph.co.uk
...sums it up, well!

www.telegraph.co.uk/science/space

...continued HERE

... Watching this landing,
streaming live from JPL Control Room last night,
I caught myself applauding loudly
at several of the critical stages,
as they flawlessly progressed,
and
for the first time in a very long time...
I actually felt proud
to be
a member of the human race.

Think about that for a nano-second!

~Huge Congratulations
to every one of the
NASA, JPL & International Crews
Across the Globe
for totally pulling off some seriously...
~ Cool Freekin' Science! ~!
