I posted this earlier in the
~ For Reference Only The Constitution of The USA ~ Thread,
and I feel that it is also appropriate to think about here in this context...
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something to think about.
When Interpretation of Law becomes a Political Farce
in The Supreme Court...
— Outstanding excerpt from Boston Legal —
EXCELLENT writing and obviously, excellent acting by James Spader!
How much of this story is fiction, and how much is based in the real reality of what has happened to our Supreme Courts' interpretation of law?
And... Something Else to think about.
and how sad is the reality of this clip!!!
...are we having fun yet?
  After Bush increases the national debt to the highest levels in history,
 devalues the dollar to record low worth, devalues peoples homes to where they have lost 40% of their worth, eliminated the manufacturing
base of the nation, doubled fuel prices,nearly doubled food prices, has caused near double digit unemployment, HE HANDS YOU A THREE TO SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR CHECK, AND TELLS YOU TO HAVE FUN SPENDING IT.
Bush deserves two things:
1) The worst legacy of any American President. (He probably has a lock on that.)
2) To have a special investigator assigned to carefully comb over the activities of the last eight years of his two administrations and fully prosecute all wrongdoing.
And so after all of this, above... it sadly comes down to something like this...
~~~~~~
— Tom Boese: Further efforts to impeach Bush/Cheney a waste of time —
The Capital Times - Madison, WI - Opinion -
Tom Boese — 9/07/2008 7:29 am
"Dear Editor: We are less than two months away from the most crucial election this country has faced in a couple of generations. We all know what the last eight years has meant for America, but any continued effort by Dennis Kucinich and others toward a Bush/Cheney impeachment is a case of seriously misplaced priorities and a total waste of energy!
The Kucinich effort to gather signatures to impeach Bush/Cheney is a sideshow diversion pure and simple. It's misguided and unimportant in the larger scheme of things. The George W. Bush legacy will be "impeached" by history. He will be out of the White House soon, one way or the other.
What is important, is that John S. McCain be defeated this November.

As far as Bush having a legacy for being the worst president, its a safe bet to say that both president Andrew Johnson and James Buchanan have him beat on that one.

In these remaining days of Bush & Cheyney.....

As the economy is now being flushed down the toilet,
and unemployment is rising day by day...

As a sign that things are "good" right now,
could this be a sign of hope from the White House that....
things are not so bad,,,
things are getting better.
Yes, The White House is still hiring!

just fill out the easy form...

   We know a little about the proposed market bail-out that happened
 today, and finally someone on the media decides to ask an expert
 what his take on it is. This guy was not invited to be at the big meeting
last night, with all the big government/big business folks attending.
 video  I wonder why the big wigs ignore this feller?
Click the pic

 video  A few informative words

  Why wasn't this guy at the secret meetings? He's a Republican,
 From Texas no less, and Bush doesn't feel he needs to be in the loop?

Toad,

Ron Paul... should so be put in charge!

Clearly, it seems has has an incredible grasp of the real problem at hand,
and a grasp of actual, real solutions.

I cannot understand why his own republican "party" isn't holding him up as their only champion and leader to be for America's sound future.... but then again,
those at the top of this same "party" would also have the most to lose
in doing what is right for this country,
those people at the top of this same "party" whose secret handshake mantra seems to be...

"Remember,
While in political office,
Ask not what You can do for this country,
But ask what this country can do for
your personal bank account."

sad... sad... sad....!

Instead of true LEADERSHIP for the GOOD of ALL,
we stuff like get this...

— Busted: Dick Cheney can't toss records, says court —

5:40 AM, September 21, 2008
LATimesBlogs.latimes.com

"Vice President Dick Cheney has a passion for secrecy.

He went to court to protect details about the role of energy executives in private meetings he led to develop the Bush administration's national energy strategy.

He went to Capitol Hill to argue for an exemption to a proposed ban on torture of terror suspects. He wanted to make sure the president had the flexibility to order water boarding or other horrific techniques to prevent a terrorist attack.

Now he's gone to court again to argue that a vice president need only preserve records central to his job as the official who presides over the U.S. Senate, or relating to specific tasks assigned by the president. That would narrow the pile considerably.

Yesterday a judge from the U.S. District Court in D.C. rejected that idea, giving a first-round victory to a group of historians and others at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), concerned about their eventual access to the records, who had sued him in court.

In her ruling, Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly cast doubt on the vice president's argument, given that the Presidential Records Act was specifically amended to prevent former President Richard Nixon from destroying any of the tapes,,, ,,, ,,," LATimesBlogs.latimes.com

~~~
Wow, Just think of the "time on office" wasted here alone on hiding horrible, corrupt things he has already done while in office... not to mention the long term damage and abuse done to us all.
Jeez. I so hope that what goes around, comes around for this low life scam artist.
... That is, if any justice actually still exists within the entire system.
While news articles like:
— Bush, Obama camps clash over aid for ailing auto makers —
PAUL KORING
From Wednesday's Globe and Mail
November 12, 2008 at 5:12 AM EST Read Article (here)
(giving us readers subtle yet clear indications that GWB could care less about the middle class, middle America, "MotorCity", "Motown" or what happens to many non-millionaire citizens because it just ain't big oil or big bank...)
We then find this story:
— Governmentium A New Science Breakthrough —
www.nedmartin.org govermentium article
"A major research institution recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named Governmentium.
Governmentium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 11 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.
These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.
Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.
A minute amount of Governmentium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete, when it would normally take less than a second.
Governmentium has a normal half-life of 4 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganisation in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium’s mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganisation will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.
This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration.
This hypothetical quantity is referred to as Critical Morass."
Take pause and consider this:
Fox News is reporting this today...
Bush:
"Bush also used the word "recession" for the first time to describe the economy's state. The White House refused to use the term until Monday, when a panel for the National Bureau of Economic Research gave official word that the economy is in a recession and has been since last December..."
~~~ duh! ~~~
Thank You, George for lookin' out as our almost elected president
&
... doing such a GREAT JOB... ¿TO? all of US!

Sadly, GWB is probably just now getting a slim idea of just how badly his time spent in office has screwed up this country... OR is he doing this so that he doesn't end up as our first jailed former president enjoying his "Legacy" behind bars.

Really sad.

And while so many in this country are fighting to save their homes or have already lost their homes to bank foreclosure, with little help, with no bailout or any pardon whatsoever...

We find this:

— A Look at President Bush's Likely New Home —
By Sara Bonisteel
FOXNews.com
Thursday, December 04, 2008

"The Bush family announced Thursday they've found a home in an upscale Dallas neighborhood. ... ... "

"The four-bedroom property, appraised at about $2 million, was purchased in October by the president's Texas accountant, Robert A. McCleskey, as a trust."

"McCleskey wouldn't comment on whether the president had bought the 8,501-square-foot brick home, built in 1959."
— (full story continued here) —

(((I so wonder if this modest $2Mil house hit the market as a result of a bank foreclosure?)))

And, when you dig a little deeper,,, well, maybe it's not that mode$t...

DallasDirt Exclusive: The Bushes’ Dallas Home(s)???
Posted on December 3rd, 2008 7:01pm by Candy Evans
"... ... But the best thing: both properties back up to two enormous Dallas estates — the 14.26-acre estate of Gene and Roxanne Phillips (just had a trout-filled lake installed on the property) and the 24-plus-acre estate of Thomas O. and Cinda Hicks, who hosted a fundraiser in their home for former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani last year. Seclusion, safety, and true blue — make that red — friends all around them.
Welcome home!"

It sounds like a smart move...

The place is actually modest in the grand scope of things... only on a little more than an acre.  They'll have more indoor activity, unless they're into trout fishing with the neighbors... and part of that 8,000sq feet is a detached servent's quarters, which they'll need for security reasons.

Sounds like the Secret Service will be next door and the whole end of the street will be gated off.

Makes sense...

... and to add to what you're saying Geno... I bet there are many forclosures from which to choose; but if the word got out that they bought a forclosure... OMG... would that rub the salt in!!!!!!!!!!

But wait... there's more...

Mayflower Estates, the New Neighborhood of President Bush, is the Most Prestigious in Preston Hollow Area
by Douglas Newby on 09 / Dec / 2008
(read here)

and yet... others have suggested that...
... someplace like this place might be far more appropriate
(GWB & Cheyney's Possible New Home for Life - Citizen's Plan B - see it here)
Almost Perfect!

Whatever.

The good news is, the Bush Years are almost at an end. And thus, the multitude of abuses of power, liberty, and constitutional law that have been green-lighted by Bush since 2000 will also come to an end. For this, I am grateful.

Because there is no justice in this universe, Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz and all their other inner-circle scumbags will most likely not be prosecuted or convicted for their crimes against America and common law.

But I feel fairly certain about one good thing. I am pretty sure that George W. Bush's two terms will go down in history as two of the most (if not THE most) ineffective, misguided, crooked, secretive, and lawless administrations EVER in the history of the United States.

He'll have to live that down. And all the investigations that have already begun looking into the actions and records of his administrations, and will very likely bring to light even MORE abuses of power that we haven't heard about yet.

     According to White house sources, All policy decisions have been
 put on hold while President Bush has the toe-Jam removed from
  his weave.... a matter of National Security. Approve
    The toe-jam removal has been assigned to a special opps team
 directed in person by Vice President Chaney. It is rumored to be
 the same team that was called up to handle Chaney's shotgun
 accident.Dead The removal could cost taxpayers 2.5 million, because
 of the chemical and biological aspect of the operation.
