           Many times politicians that are elected get
 themselves into some kind of legal trouble, or get
 involved in some ethical or moral issues.
      When a politician is rumored or charged with
 such behavior, they should be set aside from their duties untill the charges or rumors are found to be
 true or false.
        If the charges or rumors are found to be true,
 the charged person should lose all rights to any
 government benefits or retirement pensions.
      If the charges are proven to be false, the parties
 leveling the charges would be held responsible to
 cover the monies and benefits lost from the alligations,
  including all benefits.
      In toad's world, bad behavior from political folks
 would be very costly, and the monies involved would
 not come from taxpayer's pockets.

           We hear about elections to our public offices,
 and how corrupt the entire process is. People with
 huge sums of money [their's, or someone elses] pay
 millions for a job that only pays about 180 grand a year. This doesn't make much sence unless the person
 being elected makes a career out of the job, or is a plant controlled by special interest people that
 will benefit from having a stooge in office to do their
 bidding. Most of us now are starting to have serious
 doubts about career politicians, and the big money
 stooges as well.
 
    Term limits never seem to be voted in. DUH?
 
        With the depression we are in now, we are told
 that we must CUT BACK, with many people losing
 their jobs. We will lose our pensions, and some their
 health benefits.
      In toad's world we tell career politicians that they
 must leave office after their current term is served
 if they are to expect any future retirement benefits.
    If they decide to stay past their current term, and
 get re-elected, they will never receive any retirement
 benefits from holding that office, or any other government position... including high positions such as
 President or Vice President.
      In toad's world the only people serving the people,
 would be serving for a short time and not serving themselves. The term "career politician" would soon
 disappear in toad's world.

              For the last few years I have tried to
  comment in the "Town Hall" here about my views
 and news concerning most all matters of a political
 nature. We have engaged in some highly charged
 discussions about current political events that we
 will never see on the nighly news shows.
       We all came to realize that the views and crap
 we are subjected to in today's media are far from
 the truth and not to be trusted.
       Some of us researched the issues on our own
 to better understand the issues and get some TRUE
 meaning to what we see and hear. We shared those
 findings here, and many of us learned a lot that we
 otherwise would not know.
 
             Since the last election, the political landscape
 has got the public in such frustration and confusion
  that some of us have thrown in the towel, and
 decided to move on to more pleasent subjects to
 focus on. The State of the nation is such that we
 can no longer predict what will happen next.
 
         I started this threadConfused to address my personal
 frustration with current events and to share with
 you how I, the toad..would handle the situations
 if it were in my power to do so. It will be a fanciful,
 and imaginary trip into the way my mind thinks
  and sorts out things that appear to be out of
 reach and impossible to repair.
        I think at this time the average American feels
 [in Jimmie Scott's words] "Like a Motherless Child"
   Alone, and in dispare about the health of what
 we call home..The USA.
      We all are in BIG trouble, and everyday we hear
 that chant..and we are supposed to haul ourselves
 by the boot straps and DEAL WITH IT somehow.
